The AVIS rep agreed to refund the refueling charge, but would do nothing about the government taxes and service charges. AVIS charged me $225.00 I called, they said there was a $26 refueling charge, government taxes and services charges. A few days later, I checked my credit card statement. The rental fee for the day was $150.00 We had a 20% coupon which brought the price down to $120.00 However, with taxes, the price was right back up to $150.00 Regardless, we drove the mini van for the day and filled the gas tank at the corner of Arville and Flamingo, drove back to the hotel and parked the vehicle. Since we had 6 people, our only option was a mini-van.
On site at the Mirage, you can rent a vehicle from AVIS. The only thing we didn't like was the resort fee. Mirage is an excellent hotel, nice rooms, friendly staff, great location, nice casino.
